Legacy Traditional Schools expanding Laveen campus to meet community demand

 |  Information

Laveen, AZ – Legacy Traditional Schools is proud to announce the coming expansion of its Laveen campus, which will add 22,000 square feet of instructional space and open approximately 300 new seats for students. This means the hundreds of families who are currently on a wait list to attend the Laveen campus will soon be able to enroll for the 2017-18 school year.

“This is fantastic news for Laveen families who have told us they want a Legacy Traditional education for their children,” said Legacy Traditional-Laveen Principal Jennifer Hackett. “Legacy Traditional has earned a statewide reputation for educational excellence and achievement. This addition will allow us to open our doors to hundreds of additional area families who’ve patiently waited for seats in our school, while enabling us to better accommodate and serve current students and staff members.”

In addition to new classrooms, the expansion will also add an indoor, artificial turf field for physical education and Legacy Traditional’s Momentum Fitness Program. Legacy Traditional School already offers this program at some of the other campuses and is excited to bring this program to the Laveen community. The Momentum Fitness Program will be a great enhancement to all students in grades 3-6.

Additionally, the expansion project will create space for a dedicated computer lab (already have these). Enrollment for Legacy Traditional-Laveen will open in early February.

“Growing enrollment is nice,” said Legacy Traditional co-founder and Executive Director Aaron Hale, “but we measure our success by the academic growth of our students and their preparedness to thrive outside these school walls. That will remain our focus each and every day.”
