LAS VEGAS (Nov. 7, 2019) – The Charter School Association of Nevada (CSAN), Nevada’s leading organization supporting public charter school quality, professional development, public advocacy, and awareness, announced today the election of Board of Trustee Dr. Eve Breier-Ramos as its board president. Dr. Breier-Ramos succeeds Colin Seale, who has served as president since 2015.

Dr. Breier-Ramos is the deputy superintendent of Legacy Traditional Schools in Nevada. With more than 15 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, she was recently selected to lead Legacy’s three southern Nevada campuses. Legacy Traditional Schools now serves more than 21,000 students across Nevada and Arizona.

“Dr. Breier-Ramos’ resume speaks for itself. As a teacher and administrator, her proven background in education will allow our Association to continue to work to ensure that a child’s zip code does not dictate the quality of their public education,” said Victor Salcido, executive director of CSAN. “Collectively, we are excited to further strengthen the public charter school sector in Nevada to meet our students’ diverse needs.”

As president of the CSAN Board of Trustees, Dr. Breier-Ramos will provide leadership for a state charter organization that represents more than 50 public charter schools currently educating more than 45,000 students. In this role, Dr. Breier-Ramos will oversee the strategy and direction of CSAN’s Board of Trustees.

“I am extremely honored to be named the president of the CSAN board. It has always been my mission to inspire students to become passionate leaders and productive citizens. This leadership role with CSAN will provide additional opportunities to carry out that mission and help assure a quality education for Nevada students,” said Dr. Breier-Ramos.
