Legacy Traditional Schools Crowned as Arizona’s Top Charter School in 2019

CHANDLER, AZ – For the fifth straight year, Arizona-founded Legacy Traditional Schools earned top honors from AZ Big Media and Ranking Arizona in its Top 10 Charter Schools for 2019 opinion poll.

“We are very proud to have been named Arizona’s top charter school for the fifth straight year,” said Nicole Kirkley, superintendent of Legacy Traditional Schools. “This ranking is a tremendous achievement, and is a testament to the impactful work of our teachers and staff, the success of our students, and the support of our Legacy families.”

With nearly three million public votes, Ranking Arizona is the result of the state’s largest business opinion poll. Voters base their opinions of companies or organizations they would recommend based on the quality of their products, services and staff.

What she’s learning and her experiences have been incomparable.”

In 2018, Legacy Traditional Schools earned an A-rating at 11 of its 12 eligible Arizona campuses from the Arizona State Board of Education. Legacy students outperformed each of their peer subgroups on the AzMERIT assessment, and their English Language Learner reclassification rate to full English proficiency was 33 percent higher than the statewide average.
