Teacher of the Month (December): Renee Espindola (Kindergarten Teacher)
Reason Nominated: Renee is one of the most patient teachers. Her work with our kindergarten students is calming and supportive. Parents have raved about her communication and compassion for her students. She also takes on our KEEP program, thus has to wear multiple hats through the day. Our kiddo’s are really lucky to have her.
Staff of the Month (December): Michele Derwin (SPED Paraprofessional)
Reason Nominated: Michelle is really a “do-it-all” for us. Not only does she do a phenomenal job working with our ESS students, but she is a strong mentor for new staff, and fills in wherever needed (such as the front office and with sports). She’s also a friendly face at the front door for our kiddos running late.
