Legacy Traditional Schools, an award-winning network of public charter schools, announced plans to expand its fee-based Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten program to five additional Arizona campuses for the 2025–26 school year. Enrollment for the new locations will open on April 14, 2025.

The new Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs will be available at:

These additions expand Legacy’s early learning footprint to serve more families statewide and reflect Legacy’s continued commitment to high-quality early education that prepares young learners for academic success and personal growth. Pre-K programs will now be available at the following campuses: Chandler, Casa Grande, Deer Valley, East Mesa, East Tucson, Gilbert, Goodyear, Laveen, Maricopa, Mesa, North Chandler, Peoria, Phoenix, Queen Creek, San Tan, Surprise, and West Surprise.

“Legacy’s Pre-K programs are designed to give our youngest students the strongest possible start,” said Superintendent Mia Vega. “Our approach blends academic structure with exploration-based learning in a nurturing, well-rounded environment that sets the foundation for future success.”

The Legacy Pre-K curriculum is aligned with the Arizona Department of Education’s Early Learning Standards and includes early literacy through Spalding, foundational math, science, music, art, and physical education. Instruction is delivered in a structured, engaging format supporting cognitive and social-emotional development.

During the 2023–24 academic year, Legacy Traditional Schools’ Kindergarten graduates demonstrated remarkable academic readiness, excelling in key literacy and math assessments. Students who attended Legacy’s Pre-Kindergarten program scored more than 20 percentile points higher than their peers on the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) assessment and exceeded their peers by over 10 percentile points on the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) math assessment.

Enrollment for the 2025–26 school year is now open at existing Pre-K campuses, and enrollment at the five new locations will begin April 14, 2025. Interested families can learn more at legacytraditional.org/pre-kindergarten.
