LAS VEGAS (December 31, 2020) – Legacy Traditional Schools was recently highlighted in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2020 Acts of Kindness round-up article which featured the Southwest campus’ teacher appreciation parade held in May.

The teacher appreciation parade allowed students and their families an opportunity to show gratitude to the teachers for all their efforts in transitioning to a distance learning format during the early stages of the pandemic and school closures during the 2019-20 school year. The parade included more than 500 decorated cars and more than 1,000 students from all grade levels.

“The pandemic has changed the way we celebrate and recognize our campus community, but we are so honored to have one of our most unifying events of the year to be featured in this roundup,” said Southwest Las Vegas Principal Victoria Welling. “Our teachers, students, and families thoroughly have embraced our campus culture and spirit despite the current challenges of the pandemic.”
